Buchmann Bags 3 Short-Handed Goals in 18 Seconds

LINCOLN - Lincoln's Bryce Buchmann scored four goals in a row, three of them short handed in a span of 18 seconds during Saturday's game five of the JV State Tournament in Lincoln.

Quad Cities held a 5-0 lead when Lincoln's Robby Bieber was whistled for a penalty at 5:32 of the second. Buchmann began his scoring spree eight seconds later bagging three short handed goals in 18 seconds. His fourth red-lighter came at 9:49 of the middle period. Stephen Magnuson assisted on all of Buchmann's goals.

The Jr. Stars tied the game at 11:13 of the second on a goal by Drew Eirich. The game-winning goal came when Lincoln's Justin Ley buried a shot with one second left in the contest. Trey Goa and Nick Miles assisted on the game winner. Lincoln moves on to the Sunday's fifth-place game at 9:00 am.
